Pig prices gone wild

Imagine my surprise when I saw this on my outing with Andy this morning. $51. for four chops. Since no one was foolish enough to buy the package, they had to reduce it to $19. which is still around $5. a chop. They had better be good. It turns out the $19. buy was excellent...they were steaks and lovely ones to boot.  I thought they were pork chops, but I was wrong. David texted me last evening full of shock...16 rolls of toilet paper for $22. He later found that Walmart had the same thing for around $15. (These are rounded off prices.) Have you bought diapers lately? I heard they were flying off the shelves, so I looked on Amazon...we are having, in the family, three boy babies in December, so diapers are a gold mine find. I ordered a bunch, so I hope I got it right since I have not bought diapers in 60 years.

It was an eerie feeling driving through Graceland Shopping Center. That mall had just gotten back on its feet and was thriving.  This morning I counted three stores still open and it was 10:00 in the morning.  Kroger was one of them and so was Target. I was looking on my side of the street going in and re telling Andy about all those that were closed.  On the way back from Kroger, I saw only Target open on that side of the street.  Kroger had a lot of customers and the guys were stocking shelves like crazy. I don't know what it is coming to, but it is not fun going shopping any more.

Note,,,turns out this is beef not pork but the original price is still crazy, but the reduced price makes it a good deal. Must brush up on my rants. These beauties are marinating as I write in preparation for dinner tonight.

May be an image of food
