Spaghetti Bread

Pinterest food and drink has such good ideas from all over the world.  Who thought of this...spaghetti bread?  How can it not work, how can it not be delicious? This is a good idea for the beach house and for a quick meal any place. You could even make individual ones or even smaller ones for a starter. The ideas begin to flow after seeing this.

I really like Taste of Home  magazine.  I've ordered 8 issues, so I'll let you know how it is. It is less than $1. an issue when ordered from one of the enclosed ads housed in the fold of the magazine.

I guess I am officially old.  I put things on the stove and get distracted.  Last week a hook and ladder truck, a fire truck, and two police cars came to the house (within five minutes) because of a pot of rice and my distraction.  I have a solution now, a timer worn around the neck. It's not pretty, but, that's my punishment for causing these ruckuses.

I like Amazon for buying.  It is easy and you can shop in your night gown, however, although the timer on a cord was only around $6. and change, the shipping was way more than the price of the timer.  Who would ever have thought that?  But it saved me a search and buy during the busy day because  no one seems to be working any more.  They are on the road or shopping. I recommend the timer on a cord because you can be three stories up or out side or next door and you always hear the buzzer. The firemen will thank you.

A delicious spicy corn dip to enjoy with tortilla chips.
  • 2 cups corn, cooked
  • 1/2 cup sweet peppers chopped, I used green and red
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/2 cup cheese, grated..I used cheddar and mozzarella
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Extra grated cheese for sprinkling on top
  1. Melt butter in a skillet and saute chopped peppers over medium heat just until they start to soften, approx 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in corn, salt, pepper, cayenne, mayo and cheese.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased pan. I used a loaf pan, or you can use a pie plate.
  4. Sprinkle with extra cheese.
  5. Bake at 350ยบ for 20 to 25 minutes, it needs to be hot and bubbly.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips.
*Omit cayenne pepper if you don't like it spicy.
